A detailed description of graptolite zones is provided in the article. The biostratigraphical studies enabled to establish 12 graptolite biozones. The new parvus biozone and praedeubeli and deubeli subzones in the Kurtuvėnai-161 borehole are described. Trace element Zr/Rb, Th/U, Sr(Zr + Th) ratios in total organic carbon (TOC) and graptolite fauna were examined in the Kurtuvėnai-161 borehole (NW Lithuania). The study showed that the mentioned trace element ratios could be used as indicators of the redox conditions (Th/U), grain size variation (Zr/Rb) and the siliclastics versus carbonate content variation ((Zr + Rb)/Sr). The combination of palaeontological and geochemical results could be used not only in the further graptolite ecological investigations, but also could provide information about the varying depositional conditions of the basin.
